Seesh. 4 Maiden claimers and a MSW out of 10 races... Couldn't they do this on a Monday ?

If they put this card on Monday, then Sunday would have been all $12,500n2L on grass.

While the rest of the card sucks, there is a very nice turf race.

I mean, GP, does some nice things. For example, I love the way they've let those trees grow, so that you can't see the start of the inside horses in mile (dirt) races. And, just in case you want to actually look at those horses out of the gate and decide to fire up the headons, get ready for 5-6 seconds of extreme camera shake. Who cares are the start anyway?

Nice operation down there.

Fat Man,
You find more to complain about than my first three wives. Combined.

What do you think about today's Pletcher returnee, Deadly Dealer?

The trees, that are a ridiculous nuisance, are coming down.

The racing at Gulfstream, fortunately, cannot come down any further. It's very disheartening. It used to be a meet filled with opportunities to make money. Now I feel like a miner digging through a stripped mine hoping to find one of the two diamonds left in a mass of drudge.

Unfortunately, it isn't just Gulfstream. Good horses just don't race enough anymore thanks to guys like Pletcher and Frankel. It might help if they had decent purses for a supposedly "premier" meet though.

Here's my problem, StS

I was doing my charts, late last night, and I noticed that Notice Me Now, in the 2nd race, closed a ton on the winner in the last split. THEN, I noticed that he broke 7th, so I figured I'd better watch the headon for trouble CAUSE he broke from the 2 hole and the winner broke from the 1, and I couldn't see them on the regular shot. Still with me? So, I decide to fire up the headon. Now, it was a long day and I was kind of tired, as it was. But I couldn't focus after watching the first few seconds of that tape. It's flat out embarrassing. Of course, why would the track cater to pedants like me. WHO CARES about the start?

I have no opinion on the DD race. I like Trekkie and I Lost My Choo as spot bets.

I hear you fat man, I hear you. They have the same tree problem at Tampa on the 7F races as well. And, of course, the start is the most important part of any race.

Good luck today....

They shouldnt be racing on Monday. The meets quality suffers in part because they simply run too many days. Outside of Saratoga and perhaps Del Mar there is no other meet that should run 6 day weeks.
