I think it'd be DELICIOUSLY IRONIC if the weather ruined the event. Especially if there's a speed bias as a result of the rain.

It must make Mott just sick to have to sacrafice Inner Light after he's turned this 690K run off 2yo buy (by Songandaprayer out of a Carson City mare) into a horse that can rate and stay. But Inner Light isn't much.
IEAH stables also owns the very speedy Big Brown - if they are able to cook War Pass in this race - it might be hard for Zito to run him in the Derby off of back to back sub par efforts. If Mott really does get Inner Light on his toes - War Pass might have to be much the best in order to win. However, against that God-Awful field, War Pass could run open lengths below his 2yo form and still might win. |
