THIS is why the game will always be interesting
Was looking at a thread on yesterday's 9th at KEE over on another forum. They're typically missing the point.
A number of interesting facts: 1) Sweepstakes was blocked inside in the lane and closed well when she got out 2) Alwajeeha covered 33 more feet than Sweepstakes; 34 more than I Lost My Choo, and 35 more than Vancy Pants. In fact, only Namaste's Wish (+1) and Fashiion Rocks (+4) covered more ground than she. 3) While Sweepstakes ran less than Alwajeeha, she was also on the wrong lead for a good deal of the backstretch, then continued lefty on the turn, and was unable to change in the lane until she got out of traffic. So, she was LEFTY for a long bit of the race. No wonder she took off when she finally changed. Footwork is important on the turf. |

At least the guy who uses this advertizing phrase in Lexington fits the 'heavy hitter' description. Big, broad, packing a few extra pounds <she wrote diplomatically>, swinging a baseball bat.
