Bengals reject trade offer for Chad Johnson

Apparently the Skins offered the Bengals a 1st round pick in the 2008 draft which would be the 21st pick. So the Bengals would have the 9th and 21st pick. And the Skins offered a 3rd pick in the 2009 draft. That pick could go to a #1 pick if Johnson reached performance goals. I guess the one of the reasons the Bengals turned down the trade offer was because if they trade him after June 1st they get some cap relief.

As much as I'd love to have Chad, that may have been to steep a price.

I thing they may let him sit out and then suspend him, ala TO. This is the only way the Bengals can handle this without being the biggest laughing stock of the NFL. You can only let the inmates run the show for so long.
