Default Kentucky Derby Guess The Weather Contest

Well, it's that time of year when we all become meteorologists in anticipation of what the Derby conditions will be like on the track, in the infield, and making the voyage. In fact, a thread was started yesterday already arguing about what the weather will be. Since it's such a hot topic, why not a contest to see who is the best weather capper.

So, here's you chance to use your weather handicaping skills and win a prize.

What will the weather by like at post time?

Pick:
1. Temperature
2. Sunny, Partly sunny, party cloudy, cloudy, rain (Choose one)
3. Tie breaker (wind speed and direction)

ALL ENTRIES IN BY FRIDAY AT 9 PM. WILL USE ACCUWEATHER AT POSTTIME FOR RESULTS.

WINNER: Will receive a Derby Glass from my collection from years past.

Here's the DRF of weather - accuweather link: http://www.accuweather.com/

(Disclaimer: In case of tornado, Scavs is automatic winner but must be at the track to experience his dream)

3. 10 mph, northwest

Spyder, I will be there so I have the opportunity to experience it, although, I don't really want to around 160k people, it isn't the type of 'controlled' environment I am trying to explain

1) 68 degrees
2) Few clouds
3) 8MPH, southwest

It was pretty self explanitory, CHOOSE ONE!

I could be wrong, but maybe you lost because of the tiebreaker: No Tornado!

Wow...Never thought that my only two wins of the weekend would be the Oaks/Derby double and a weather contest. And even the latter could be disputed as questionable.

Thank you Spyder for running this contest...Appreciate it.

Default Objection explaination

OK, here's the facts....

I was on my fifth bourbon having to refresh the damn weather site over and over as they went into the gate. I mistakenly clicked on a porn site which threw me off for a minute...or two, but then got back in time as they left the gate.

When the results came in there was alot of confusion and I turned it over to the STEWARDS to make a final decision. They posted Declansharbor as he was closest of temp. and since no one got the conditions right they went to wind speed and direction.

So, blame the stewards just like always!

Their decision is final and I hope you enjoyed the 1st Annual Last Guess the Weather Contest.

Spyder...out

Damn, I wish NYRA would release statements like this after inquiries and objections!
