Would Dutrow have tried Big Brown on dirt?

i am just curious if anyone knows if dutrow had planned to try big brown on the dirt if his turf race had not been washed off. has he commented on this or were they just fortunate what happened with the weather?

Had he won on the turf my best guess is he would have gone to the Blue Grass. A large part of the decision to go to the Florida Derby rather than the Blue Grass was that he'd already handled the Gulfstream dirt so well. Well, that and alcohol.

Probably threw him on the grass for conditioning and to be cautious of his tender feet at the same time.
