Default Met Mile (Divine Park 109)

The Met Mile is only five days away and there is little talk about this great race. Divine Park blew out the Westchester field on Belmont's opening day. The Met Mile makes sense for this colt but is he going to run? The Carter winner Bustin Stones decided to give him a long break so he's out. Executive Fleet who finished 2nd in the Carter might run. Commentator has been pointed to this race. Monterey Jazz is another one who is pointing to this race.

Does anyone know more info about horses who might run in the Met Mile?

Here's who I've heard:

Monterey Jazz
Commentator
Divine Park
Premium Wine
Lord Snowdon

There were only 16 nominations.

If it ends up being a five horse field I'll puke . . . one of my favorite races. . .

How many years has Commentator competed in this race? And what is the record for the most starts in the Met Mile? Commentator has to be close to that record.

Monterey Jazz only knows one way to run and that is go to the front and run very fast. Can he wire the Met Mile while battling Commentator?
Devine Park could once again work out a perfect trip and might be enough horse to get the job done. The ? is how does he react off of that sensational race he ran on April 30th?

Which is it: a perfect trip or a sensational race? Got a clue?

Where did you read that Bustin Stones was out? I agree though, it's a great race and I'm at Belmont for it every year.

This does, however, fit with the # Beyer had for Emotival in Argentina.

Yeah, I can't believe this nonsense. "That's too low for the Met".. "Raise it".. "Wait, that's too high for Manteca".. "Uh, lower it"..

So the track started out slow, somehow got faster in between the second and third races, then got slow again?

Agreed... if the number sucked, the number sucked. It's certainly reasonable to be bad, as nobody did any running late, obviously. Why sugarcoat it?
