i read about credit cards and the rising complaints from consumers just the other day.
jacking up interests rates, even on those with excellent credit-without notice, without reason for many. double billing, sending statements with only days to make payment due, late fee charges like mad. one fellow had been over the limit one time, but had hundreds of dollars in late fees charged to him-do they assume many just pay the bill, without reading the statement?

i have no credit cards so i don't have to deal with it-i recommend it for everyone!

I love credit cards. How else would I be able to bet? You dont like them, dont use them. Its really that simple. So I get a few calls a day asking about my balances, so what? Whats the other alternative? Not betting? No thanks!

By the way, thanks Peace Chant for not getting up for 2nd yesterday at Del Mar. Means another advance

You mean you think people should actually be held accountable for something. That isn't fair. Personal responsibility is wrong.

I check all my financial stuff daily, takes about a total of 5 minutes as long as you have everything saved as a favorite. This way if there is any hanky panky, you can nip it in the butt ASAP.

Nip it in the bud, not butt.

You don't even need to check it every day, just 1x a month and you are fine. Credit Card companies don't charge you for anything you didn't purchase. Debit cards are a different story though. You might need to check those more frequently if your number is out there. Once that money is gone it is gone.

i check on my bank accts about once a week, in case any receipts get missed in the check book because of debit cards, etc. i am thinking of getting lifelock tho.
also check all our credit reports once a year, as they're free one time yearly.

are you kidding? Banks and credit card companies are the enemy of the public and consumer in general. The bs that they pull would get you arrested in different circumstances. If racetracks suddenly jacked the takeout 20% after you hit a $1000000 pick six is something that a credit card company can and would do. Currently I am battling with Amex which refuses to give me credit for a $4000 payment I made to them. I have the cashed check, their bank account number, my bank has verification that they received the money yet they refuse to credit my account. And it is close to impossible tp even get a person who speaks English and has an IQ higher than 12 to speak to you.

Well that sucks and it doesn't seem they have much a leg to stand on so you should be able to crush them in court where I'm guessing they will present someone who speaks eloquent English and has an IQ more than 10 times 12.
