$180 for a $??? Seems a little too much for me. Isn't a $50 bet for a $1 Pick 4 plenty??

Can you elaborate on why you're using Almighty Silver, who has shown no interest in winning stakes races over a horse like Icabad Crane or even Tin Cup Chalice for that matter? For the record, I don't think Tin Cup Chalice is going to win but he is still much, much more likely than WRITINGONTHEWALL or ALMIGHTY SILVER. Also, Zada Belle is an absolute standout in the 8th. She is going 2nd off the layoff, exits a strong performance where she lost position going into the far turn. She also fits the profile of the two winners the mighty Godolphin Stable has posted at this meet. Good luck! NT |

Race 8- Zada Belle is best, but just have the feeling she won't fire her "A" game. If you look, her PP's have lots of gaps, now she comes back in 19 days with NO work off a monster race where she caught trouble. If she wins I lose. Took others I thought had a shot. Race 9- Don't like Icabad Crane. Best races were @ Pimlico and he comes off layoff. People will see Preakness and Belmont, and his price will be too short for me. Chalice is best, but she's going for the BA Triple. Big Brown all over again. Took the other 3 that have a shot. "Writing" will sit right behind Chalice or Kent will gun from there. Love the 2 works for "Silver", worked 6 and 5 F for this. May give him that extra 1/16th down the stretch. Big Truck, Tagg/Coe are on fire. Huge work the other day. Just have the feeling Chalice will be caught that last 1/16. If he wins, I tip my cap and throw away my ticket. Race 10- Took horses I thought would show speed. I think the turf will start playing to speed once it dries out. I live 10 minutes from the Spa and it rained last night. May have to reconsider this race tomorrow. Will put Bella in and take Marilyn out. Likes the turf here and has a win over the track. Heaven is a toss for me. Motion and Prado 0/7 last 60 days together. Price too short for with those odds. Good luck to all playing. Hope Tar Heel has an opinion on this. BTW, had the late Pick on Sunday for $1900. So juice in the pocket will bring marginal horses to my ticket. Will post my final ticket Wed. afternoon once I see what the weather is. May change because of the rain. Good luck to all. |

Are you sure $180 is enough? I'd double that.

the last is pretty tough i toss bella 1/6/2/9 6 bieng the most danger as domingez leaves motion for a stake dropper who ran off the grass but excelled on an gd turf..imo gl

Do you have a pick 4 yet ???
I could go for $360. That's how much I went in for Sunday. Got back $1900. Looking back, could have used smaller $ and still hit it. Always the case after the fact. I always try to use marginal horses when I 'm not using 3 favorites. Last race is very difficult. I'll try all angles possible. Weather is clearing up. Had lots of wind this AM. Hope course dries out. Love front end speed, when the course is hard, especially on the Mellon. |
