Default the bailout

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26871338/

looks like they're trying to come up with something, most likely markedly less money initially then the 700 billion bush wanted-and that fellow republicans are balking at.
one question-why does pelosi say that reps should back bushes plan? if it's a bad plan why do they need to back it? or maybe i mis-read something in there.
at any rate, the exec compensation should be in there, as well as future payback from profits to the fed-meaning, u.s. taxpayers.

Well at least it isn't a pullout. The timing is always off with those.

Seriously, I think that pisses me off more than anything. You know the guys responsible are retiring to a life of luxury.

I'd just prefer to see them hanging from trees or light posts.

It's a shame the KKK had to go and give public lynchings a bad name.

I'm going to need one of our resident geniuses to explain to me why giving $1 million to each American adult would not work in bailing out the economy while costing much less than $700 billion.

Hey dude!!

I heard something like that on the ratty-o today.

I think it was 430 large to all between 18-60 though.

Of course the tax take out would be in effect, but still.

It will be interesting to hear what the smart babe has to say about it.

And I would go to the corner store,

Let me correct myself..if I may. I think the proposal said the 430 would be an average.....between singles and families. Not each person between 18-60.

I would attach a rider saying the mortgage company gets paid off first...the rest to the people.I didn't do the Dimmy on this, but the guy said the cost would be around 280 billion if I recall.

It sounds good, but since we didn't cut RICO deals with the feds they won't do it.
