Two very PAINFUL years here.

I guess it's partially mitigated for me this year knowing that the gruesome bullpen we were working with had no shot of winning the World Series.

Look at the bright side, Minaya (who should have been fired first thing this morning) will end up signing K-Rod for astronomical dollars.

Krod will be a Met next year? That may not be a great thing. They should trade Reyes and some fillers to the Reds for Cordero and Brandon Phillips. Sign Texiera, let Delgado go, Let Fernando martinez have a shot at left or sign a stopgap one year vet to keep the seat warm. Get a good defensive SS like McDonald from Toronto and find some solid bullpen arms. I know this may be impossible but they need to do something.

Exactly, just end the pain now. That bullpen made it embarassing to be out cheering for the team. And the rotation wouldn't have been setup to be able to ride Johan through the playoffs which was their only chance. I'm just glad we didn't foolishly trade away Niese or Fernando Martinez to get some journeymen that might have got us to the playoffs where there was no way they would have won them.

IMO the Cubs would have rather played the Mets than LA. The Mets bullpen I think is worse than the Crew, which is saying a lot.

Baseball Heaven to me would be Crew vs Cubs for NLCS and having the brewers win! I am not saying this will happen, but I would love to see it!

Hopefully the sox can win for you today and then battle the twinkies tomorrow to get in.

I'll admit, I was weary of him when the Phils first signed him, but I have to ask. If 41 for 41 save opportunities is terrible, then what would constitute as being good?

I was thinking the same thing, but I thought for sure that I either Joey or I were confusing him with someone else....

He'll cough it up in a pressure situation during the playoffs. Guaranteed.

Once maybe, the Mets current bullpen would have coughed it up every game guaranteed. I'll take my chances with Brad Lidge over Luis Ayala anyday.

What else are you getting from that crystal ball??

The guy has simply done everything asked of him, and even with an unblemished record, he gets slammed for what may or may not transpire in October.

Listen, I horselaughed (im talkin John Elway horselaugh) my brothers best friend when he suggested (proir to the season) that he would end up with 40 saves. I could not see it happening. Fast forward a few months, and I'm the guy that had no clue on what he was talking about. Surprised isnt that word when it comes to a revived Lidge.
