I had to reread the Fizzlette entries. First time through, I thought I read Sutra's name on there.

Weird.

Other than Persistently, the Frizette is pretty weak, however the Champagne is a great race. The definitive 2YO race this year ( not run on turf or fake turf ).

The Champagne sould be a real nice race....there's five in there that I really like....

Blu is likely gonna need more than a little luck to get his filly's pic taken in the Frizette.... wishing him luck nonetheless

The Champagne will probaly turn out to be better than the BC Juvy.
I wish Charitable Man was running, would be a great race for sure then.

Gonna predict that Cribnote will be severly over bet.

The Champagne is a race worth getting excited over, some real horses with real futures in here.

Hope this means Gomez won't be getting on GP any longer (I wish). What a brutal ride last time out. Good horses don't deserve that ****.

There's plenty of speed in this race.
It actually looks like its going to set up perfectly for Persistently.

Does anyone think War Echo has a shot? I guess it's a crapshoot with some of these fillies who have just come off their maiden breakers........

me neither, it just matters if I can make money on the race, whether its called the Champagne or 5th at Los Al.

But your response just echoes my intended point that the sport as its currently organized yields a giant "who cares".

i worry about Cribnote breaking down. He has that left front and he tries hard every time.

His left front swings out wide like a tendon or something.

he's in my watch list as "big maiden win, bad left-front"

then I noticed he has ran back since and he blew the turn in that race, and still had the same action.

It is easy to see in the head on replays.

Sky Diva Wins the Friztte easily!!

Very happy to see another graded SW for Sky Mesa who has really turned things around.

I was also very pleased by War Echo's effort. This half to Pyro chased sizzling fractions and hung tough until the late stages.

Persistently, as I thought, appears to be a filly who will always find one or two better than her

Persistently is just too slow early for these one-turn races. She's got quite the nice turn of foot though.

A lot of people apparently didn't believe their own eyes when Vineyard Haven ran so well to win at Saratoga. So they bet down horses he beat, and then he runs away from them again. Because they don't like his name? Or his connections? Or his looks? What?

She does have a good turn of foot, but I don't know that she can sustain it. She's not truly explosive like Stardom Bound (who I pray can transfer her form to the dirt - I suspect she can, but you never know). I don't know - she's a very nice filly, but I kind of have my doubts

What did you think of War Echo? I thought she ran great, chasing fast fractions and not giving in. I know Gemswick still beat her for third, but isn't it considered harder to chase fast fractions than to set them while loose on the lead? I give Gemswick a lot of credit for holding her own, but I admit my eyes were on War Echo.
