![]() At this point I just don't see how anyone who is truly an independent can vote for McCain. His most recent idea of buying out everyone's mortgage, which was too liberal even for me, had to drive away any of his remaining support. The only remaining independent supporters for McCain have to be Republicans that haven't bothered to register with the party.

![]() I don't think Palin was the downfall. I just didn't like all the mudslinging ads they let air about Obama. If you think you're the better candidate, why not concentrate on what you yourself would do, instead of implying your opponent is a terrorist?

None lived to complete his term with two being assassinated. Harding had what most historians agree as the most corrupt presidency ever. History does not suggest that either McCain or Obama will offer great leadership and, therefore, will serve only one term.
