Philly Park's only two racing months are jan & feb when its freezing???

Calder only races in sep & oct? according to his plan fl will have absolutely no racing for 6 months out of the year. same with nyra - no racing 6 months out of the year.

He must have crack in his "pipe" dream.

I like this:

New York racing opens in March with Aqueduct and continues through August consecutively. The circuit runners can then easily move across the bridge to Meadowlands in Sept.-Oct. before a necessary winter break. When January rolls around, top NYRA barns can compete at Gulfstream as per usual, while lesser runners can compete for huge slots purses at nearby Philadelphia Park.

Could Meadowlands possibly handle all the NY horses AND the NJ horses in one two month meet?

And a necessary winter break? How about all the horsemen who make their living during the winter in NY?

Yeah, there are a lot of holes in his plan. The overall idea of tracks cooperating is good but his logistics are pretty terrible.

yes... I'm glad his dream will be staying in his pipe!

Was a slightly interesting read though.

When ESPN hired Plonk they decided not to fire him because he was severely retarded. They also noticed he was gay so they had no choice but to keep him because they couldn't afford the liability of a lawsuit...especially after the Sean Salisbury fiasco. Having said all that, I consider him a top tier journalist for a retarded gay guy. I just think he rubs people the wrong way. I wasn't surprised by this article because he's retarded and fruity.
