Default What's your favorite Star Wars movie?

Personally, I like all of them, even the newer ones. But I'd say Return of the Jedi is my favorite, just because I love the final duel between Luke and Darth Vader. But I also like Revenge of the Sith for the Emperor vs. Yoda fight as well.

There's got to be some Star Wars fans here?

when the first and second came out, i was a kid-loved the movies-and i did enjoy the third as well. the new ones from the last few years were some of the worst tripe i've ever seen. we went to see the last one a few years ago while on vacation. it was raining, so hubby said let's go see it. to which i replied, you guys go ahead, i'll read the book i just bought in the car....
anyway, we went to see it, and it was awful. the writing was atrocious. i'll never, ever forget the line 'hold me like you did on naboo, when there was nothing but our love'. other people went awwww, i laughed. ugh

Default Te first one was incredible

I really loved the first original STAR WARS.

The next two in the original trilogy were also good.

I really didn't care as much for the prequel trilogy that was released starting in the late 90's. They were alright but just not as fresh and unique as the originals.

Maybe I'm just racist when it comes to some aliens but Jar Jar Binks really repulsed me. I have the same problem to a lesser degree with the Star Trek franchise too. The real alien types are much more acceptable as "Bad Guys!"

Default Rereleases of originals?

If I remember correctly the original trilogy was released again a few years ago. Are these worth purchasing?

When I was a kid, Star Wars was it. I remember waiting on line to see Return of the Jedi. I also had all the toys and the bedsheets too. But when they finally came out with the new (I guess trilogy, next chapters) it was about 15-20 years too late and I had/have no intrest in seeing them.

Too funny.. I too remember waiting in line for like 3 hours to see the original..I liked it, but my brother was of course more into it thatn I was.. I just liked horses..lol

My son Justin is 6 and is sooooooooo into Star Wars. He watches anything to do with them and was Darth Vader last Halloween. Everything is a "sword" if ya know what I mean with him..pencils, toothbrush,sticks..you name it. lol
I think its funny how 30 years later Star Wars continues to bring in new fans and is still a big seller.
