Default derby shortest odds

with so many confirming there running ability, I dont think any horse will be less than3/1 entering the gate and as mny as 7 or 8 8/1 or less.

Leaving the other 12 at about 200:1 each?

IWR, POTN, and Quality Road in that 4-1 to 6-1 range. Everyone else probably looking at 10-1 and up.

I would make a humongous bet right now that Revenge will go off at lower odds than POTN. I wish I could find that prop somewhere.

That's true if you had 4 horses at 8-1, 2 horses at 6-1 and 2 horses at 4-1.

But you could have 8 horses at 8-1, and all the rest would only have to be around 38-1 each.

If there is one horse at 7-2, one horse at 5-1, and 6 horses at 8-1, the other 12 would have to be about 88-1.
