Default 4/25 Derby Works & Notes

Busy morning, especially after the break. Tough to get all the splits, etc., but easy enough to give the work of the day nod to Desert Party. Went very well. Regal Ransom had gone early in the morning and went nicely according to Mike Welsch, so the Godolphin pair continue to intrigue and could provide value come next Saturday.

On the down side this a.m. was a rough outing for Papa Clem who looked sluggish turning in a 1:29.2 for his designated 7f effort under his regular exercise man.

In the earlier session, Welsch reports that Musket Man also had a less than stellar work. See Mike's video report at DRF.com later this morning for details.

West Side Bernie looked OK going a straightforward half mile with Desert Party well behind him breaking off and ultimately catching him on the gallop out. Bernie was timed at :48 and change with the second quarter seeming slower than the opening quarter.

Pioneerof the Nile, Win Willy and Friesan Fire all were out galloping at the same time after the break. Hold Me Back had been out earlier and was just coming off the track when I got to the stand.

At Palm Meadows this morning, Dunkirk went an easy 5f in 1:01+ with company..

Jimmy Jerkens will be on a teleconference call at 11:30 to update everyone on Quality Road.

Need you to talk up the Godolphins on ATR.. Let's get as much dead money as possible on those Steve.. You know using ATR to help pay for this board is legal in the Talmud.

LOL. Thx for your mitzvah Rebbe Fredo.

Regarding the Blue Crew, I have to admit they look really good physically. They are among the small number here that seem to be excelling. I had no interest in them or POTN coming here, but the three of them all have looked great while others seem to be going in the wrong direction.
