Default Informed Decision

Explosive POLY/TURF-like late run once clear by this horse yesterday.

What an impressive effort, after lacking room and losing momentum.

She has run well on the dirt in the past......and considering how close the finish was among many horses, and who was second, it wasn't a spectacular effort.

She's a really nice horse.

Let's assume we're on the same page as to your argument why her effort wasn't as impressive as I thought. Spelling it out, it would be that ID, while waiting for room, was in limbo while the closers blew by her, and thus had the late energy to last move the field. This is certainly the case, and quite similar to the setup she got against Ventura. However, I thought it was still impressive given that the race was on dirt.

If this is the case, I have a hard time understanding your position concerning the Withers.

Leparioux is supposedly a very good and patient rider, however from my experience from betting the horses he's on he gets in these positions far too often. Luckily in this case the horse was good enough to overcome it.

While never flashy, I've come to realize in watching his races, that Leparoux is, arguably, the best jock in the country. He's patient as hell, almost never makes a premature move, never panics, and can finish with the best of them. He's smooth as hell, and appears to never be going all out.

This filly has gotten very good setups in her past two races; but she's also run when asked. But she should never have beaten Ventura, as she's just not that good.

i agree, its great on grass but he gets "stuck" alot in the dirt races. the horse won that race, as is usually the case. he got her shuffled back, in traffic. how can anyone fault this horse? i believe shes had 9 starts with 7 victories. he is like pat day, he will clean up on that circuit but i don't see him dominating if he comes up here this summer.
