Default Hooray for Polywood 5/8

10:00 pm (on the east coast) start for Hollywood tonight. Looking very foward to putting the boys down for bed and then parking my ass on the couch to play the card with the late night DT crew.

Here's my spin on the early pick 4.
1st
#6 White Lace Jimmy-just missed last 2 times at 6 1/2 furlongs while drawing inside. Gets the outside post here and should get a decent pace to close into. Slow work on the 3rd is a bit concerning.
#1A Defense King-1st of the claim for Oneill, who has burned some money the last 2 times out. He's another stalk close type that should be there to pick up the pieces.
#5 More than Class-looks like the speed of the speed. Just broke his maiden for 32k at SA and has been favorite in all 3 of his first starts. Might hookup with the 4 on his inside in a race for the lead. Running for Ral Ayers who I believe is Mullins assistant, since I believe he is on vacation at the Air power headquarters.
2nd
#2 Enriched-Dollase winning at %29 when dropping into MCL. Back on the poly where he didn't run badly in his debut. Sports a bullet coming into this race.
#4 Congaree Park- Baffert horse might be a threat to go wire to wire here. Back in for a tag as he just missed for 100k back in January. Working well and might find himself all alone on the lead.
#3Victory Knock-2nd start for the Gallagher colt. Stepping up, but ran solid last time out. Any improvement should put him in the mix.
3rd
#2 Leave the Gate Open-looks like the speed of the race. The gelding at hit the board all 6 times in 2009. Will be pressed as there looks like there is a ton of speed in the race.
#8 The Bat Signal Wins for 40k and then goes on the shelf. That is a bit worrisome, but he seems to be working like a champ. Raffie stays aboard the closer who should have very quick fractions to close into.
4th
#1 Fantasy Free Back to a more reasonable level for the 4 yeard old. Also draws inside which should enable a ground saving trip for the stalker.
#5 Skippy Due Thinking that this 7 year old might find himself on a loose lead as the race doesn't look like it has any speed in it. A couple of good works leading into this race. Has run against a few horses that have come back to win in their next tme out.
#3 Hunter Creek Another one who looks like he is getting back to the right level. Stalker type should be in good position for the Bill Spawr barn who is off to a quick start.

1,5,6
2,3,4
2,8
1,3,5
$219.00 for a buck

3x3x2x3 =$54 for a dollar

Good Luck everyone.

Look at you Matt. I was not going to play tonight and now you have me printing the Form. When Mrs. Bigs sees me 'capping tonight, I am going to blame you. Can I give her your number so I can deflect her wrath your way?

There is a pk6 carryover tonight too.....and it looks pretty tough. U know I am going to be playing along....Think the 2nd and 4th look tough in the early pk4.

Looking forward to tonight, especially with all these sloppy east coast tracks.

I just got killed going after the big pk6 carryover at Churchill on Wednesday. 4 wins and 2 second placers, last one was the "1" beat at the wire.

Sure, according to my wife and co-workers (since all I have done today is dope out horses) I am good at deflecting wrath.

I actually gave him a long look too, but opted to include the 3 instead. I think the 3 has a bit more early foot in what might be a paceless race.

Can't disagree with your preference.............Ellis has nice 2nd time lasix stats but the jockeys on both of these are ice cold. Post time odds may decide it for me.

The Ellis horse has been dead on the board twice.
