Default My weekend consists of:

Heading to the shore tonight and staying in OC with my better half and my folks. Well, in actuality, they wont see much of me unless it's hit or my eyes grow heavy. I'm praying for the former. My brother (whose already down there chasing) and I will sit at seperate tables to enhance our chances of catching a piece of the pie. I recommend anyone with the extra time or where-withal to do so as well.

Hit #3.

It NEVER gets this high.

Mikey, I left my Philadelphianeese to English dictionary at home today (probably on the table next to my Scavsenees to English one). But could you give the English translation for the paragraph above. Thank You.

Jessica looked at me like I had 4 heads too when I told her about it. We really do have piss-poor vocabulary. Okay, here it goes.

Showboats Bad Beat Jackpot for poker is reaching astronomical status. It's up to $182,533.00 and counting.

Bad Beat Jackpot is paid when a hand of Full House, Aces full of Jacks or better, loses to a bigger hand at showdown. Both of the hole cards of the winning hand and losing hand must be in play. 50% of the jackpot is paid to the loser of the hand, 25% paid to the winner of the hand, and 25% is divided between all other players dealt into that hand. (copied and pasted)

I vow to be a part of it, somehow, someway. Preferably on the losing end of it.

I Kapeesh now. I thought that you were going to Ocean City with your girlfriend and parents (Which I think is right. By the way have you been down in Wildwood lately? I was there for the first time in years last weekend and it was kind of the way I imagine Detroit is. ) Then it sounded like you were ditching your GF with your parents to pick up girls with your brother. And sitting at different tables would help you score for some reason or maybe it was some sort of competition. Then you were inviting some Nerdy Trail memebers to come hang with you. Maybe everyone would go to the Showboat after to gamble. As far as the never gets high comment, I thought it had something to do with you condition and how high you must be making that original post.

Much thanks for the English definition, it kind of makes sense to me now.

Matt, you went to Wildwood on Memorial Day weekend?????????????? How was it? Did you have a good time on the boardwalk with the kids? I bet it burned a hole in your wallet.

Tell me this, how many Puerto Rican flags did you see?? I'll be going there off and on this summer (my buddys gf's have houses in Sea Isle and WW), but I learned my lesson years ago not to go to WW for Memorial Day weekend. I have stitches on my arm to prove it. I brought knuckles to a knife fight, thinking it was the white, errr, I mean right thing to do. They gang up on ya there and give you no option other than to defend yourself.

Here's the brief story. We only went down there for the day. I know I know, it's insane. But my wife always comes up with bright ideas and I usually shoot them down automatically. You know because they are usually F'n stupid. Like the time we got into a fight when she wanted to go to Times Square the Saturday before X-mas. Just moronic.
So her idea was to leave our house in Old Bridge at about 11 am and go to the Cape May Zoo. Then we would go walk around town in Cape May. After that we would go eat at the 2 mile Crab House that's awesome. Finally we would go to the boardwalk in WW and put the boys on some rides. I admit I thought it was a ridiculous idea, but with ideas of heading to Monmouth for the day on Monday, I was willing to sacrafice the day to make her happy and then hopefully get a free pass to Monmouth.(you know lose the battle to win the war).
The ride down was no problem and we made it in world record time, it was amazing. Waiting in the worst Burger King in the world for over 20 minutes behind some trashy porky woman (wearing clothes 2 sizes too small) and her 10 year old kid that smelled like he took a dump in his pants took some of the shine out of the good start to the day.
We made it to the zoo and it basically sucked all the animals were asleep (or at least that's what I thought :eek). It was about one step above the Staten Island zoo (which is only 35 minutes away.) Hell we could have went to the safari at Great Adventure and been better off.
So we go to Cape May, which I think blows. Drive all that way to walk around that little group of town stores that all sell either sunglasses, fudge or Ice cream. A complete waste of time, but at least we will be eating some crabs soon.
We pull up to the Crab House and it's absolutely abandoned. Apparently the floor caved in a couple of years ago and people ended up in the water. It hasn't reopened since. Wonderful, now we have to find a place to eat.
So we head to WW and proceed to just miss T-boning some Tw@t that blew a stop sign. We start to look for the boardwalk and just notice that things don't look right. Plus everyone wants like 30 bucks to park. That's not the reason but we decide to skip the boardwalk for now. We stumble across a restaurant that has all you can eat crab legs, so we decide to go for it. That's when my little one Michael decides he can out scream the other 2 year old in the place. It wasn't really a place for kids so it was a little uncomfortable. My wife and I look like Kobyashi eating hot dogs on July 4th, trying to eat as many crab legs as possible before Michael went totally bats.hit.
By this thime it's getting late and we decide not to go to the boardwalk (once again time wasn't the main reason). The drive back wasn't awful until we ran into a thunderstorm near home.
It was a long long day, that really turned into a real waste of time. And to make matters worse I was so tired on Monday that I never made it to Monmouth. Now that I think about it, I guess that this story was worthy of a timeline. Just an absolute waste of a day.
