More Transparency From Washington?
Wonder why he wouldn't want details of Cash for Clunkers success released until he triples up the price? Wouldn't have anyhing to do with six of the top 10 vehicles purchased being Honda, Toyota and Hyundai?
And what happened to the new 'pay as we go'? Did I miss 3 billion worth of cuts? Any word on his cabinet's budget cuts? I know that dead line (lie) has come and gone. People who support programs like this don't understand economics. They are pulling forward demand...therefore it is artificial, and you are subsidizing a shitty industry to begin with. Talk to me when you see car sales in the fall drop off a cliff..."Oh wait, no free lunch?" Nope.
