"Description Opportunity for Equine Specialist with extensive travel. Individual must hold a Bachelor's of Science or Art Degree or foreign equivalent and a valid Trainers' License for all jurisdictions in the Northeastern UnitedStates. This individual will be responsible for the overall care, breeding, training, conditioning, rehabilitating, oversight, racing, and ultimate management of thoroughbred horses and a staff of 15 employees. Individual must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of biological and biotechnological principles with the ability to: (1) study and enhance the origins, behaviors, disease histories, genetics, and conditions of valuable thoroughbred horses, (2) conduct research concerning thoroughbred selection, nutrition, breeding, and training to improve thoroughbred racing statistics, (3) design, customize, implement, and monitor safety, nutrition, health and exercise programs, and growth,progress and other conditions of horses, and (4) apply advance principles of pedigree and veterinary analysis to oversee the selection and acquisition of thoroughbred horses.
