I used 6,8,9 equally in the pick 3. I thought the 6,8 both had really bad trips. I thought they both had a ton of run, JV screwed the 8... Definition of a premature move IMO. The 6 just never had a clear path to run and I bottled up most of the stretch. Grassy was best with the bad start and all, but I think with better trips the 6,8 could have won. Maybe Fats will comment....

I bet the 4 and didn't think that Kent Desormeaux's apology for his bad rides Saturday on his Facebook page was enough consolation.

That 4 was game and I should have known he was live when I loved the 11 and Desormeaux chose the 4 over him. I don't do Facebook, but I wonder if Coa apologized for going way out in front with the very live 11 that cost him the race and me a ton of money.

I think Belmont can't come soon enough for Coa. He has been absolutely dreadful at the meet, is getting on very few live horses, and has hardly even ridden for Barclay Tagg, who's been one of his main clients for a long time.

A perfect microcosm of Coa's meet was the fourth today when he drove clear on Skip Away Belle and put his whip away only to be nailed on the wire by Privacy and Alan Garcia.

How many of you would have taken Chavez in a Coa v. Chavez head-to-head before the meet?

Didnt Coa trade agents with Castellano? Looks like that might not have been such a good trade.

I bet heavily on the 2 who was prominent throughout but not part of the bundle at the end. I thought the 8 was the best but glad he lost because I was between him and the 2. Would have made me ill to see the 8 win.

Totally reminded me of this when I saw it.

Amazing that there is a running line out there where a horse finished 7th, beaten about 3/4 of a length.
