Default 9/26: Belmont (4th-10th); Calder (Big 4); PHA (Turf Amazon)

Got skunked at Belmont in P4/P6 tries with odd set of circumstances producing low-priced winners that were curiously tough to string together on tickets. Honestly don't know what I would have done differently, and luckily, the $2,600 (P6) and $180 (P4) weren't the kind of returns that get you suicidal. Hope you did OK. Fun and eclectic racing around the country today with Belmont's card particularly intriguing for wagering purposes. Calder .50 Big 4 looks like good action too. Regionally, Laurel hosts Jim McKay Maryland Million Day, Turfway features the Kentucky Cup, and Remington has their Oklahoma Classics card tonight. Plenty of other good racing scattered about too, with Presque Isle winding down (3 stakes), Woodbine (Selene/Ontario Derby) and Hastings (British Columbia Oaks/Derby) hosting nice Weekends.

Thanks, Dave! That was a tough one, but I think the stewards were right on this one, though I admit my obvious bias. While the contact itself was not huge, it was the repeated bearing in during the stretch that left them no choice but to take the 8 down. Sorry about the pk 3's, your opinion was better than mine there, that 8 ran real well for a Levine firster and the price was nice. Nice call on using that one.
