Default The Tiger's Sphincter

Been in first place since May 10...Had a 7 game lead 2 1/2 weeks ago. Now? Shut out by Peavy again tonight and Minnesota at home against KC about to close to within 1. They better beat Garcia tomorrow, otherwise it's Danks vs Verlander Sunday.

Thought Garcia was going home, and gunna retire. He's trying to hang around a lil longer? Both the batters n' the opposing pitcher will want that game badly.

Should be interesting. I beleive Greinke (sp?) starts for the Royals today so that's not going to be easy.

You guys have Podsednik again? Why? Video of the game looks like it's at about 80% speed, but that's just the way Garcia does it now. So far, he's getting it done though.

Kershaw started well. Would help if they support him for at least 1 game.

He knows how to pitch, that's for sure. If Sox don't get Halladay, he's the #5 next year in a very good rotation

There is no way for me to convey how completely disgusted I am with this situation. What a total effin mess.

I feel for ya' man..Even though I'm a Sox fan, this would be tough to watch. I don't know how the Twins do it every year, but they do somehow.

Well..you know Verlander will show up today. If it goes to Tuesday, who is pitching for you guys?

I'm afraid to call my Mom today. She's the world's biggest Tigers fan and has to be on suicide watch.

Tuesday will be Porcello vs Baker. Nothing like having your playoff hopes on a 20 year old rookie. Porcello has been nails all season long though.

Go Tigers!!

It's an absolute disgrace. I'll just tell ya about something that happened a long time ago though. Maybe it will give you hope. In '80, the Dodgers trailed the Astros by the 3 games going into a final weekend series at Dodger Stadium. Dodgers won all 3. I was thrilled, and somehow got tickets for the 1 game playoff at Dodger Stadium on Monday. Had seats right behind the Astros' wives. All day those women were celebrating in front of me. That's my biggest low as a Dodger fan. We were all pssd the Dodgers didn't try using this Valenzuela kid that was looking pretty good in limited appearances. Anyways, after the game, I can't remember why, but for some reason we all went out on the field. On the warning track, they cornered a guy wearing an old-style Astros jersey, and beat on him some. After '74,77, and 78, that day in '80 was a pretty bad day. '81 was a big relief. I can't imagine what it'd be like to be a Cubs fan. I really can't.
