Default As A Diehard Colts Fan

I'm trying, really trying, to not get to jazzed about our chances.

For a Super Bowl run this year.

Can't help myself, I'm gettin more and more jazzed!

This team is soft and can't run consistently. They deserve all the credit in the world for being 10-0 and winning the way they have. To me, this is Manning's finest season. To be doing what he is doing with THIS team is extemely impressive.

This team will not win the super bowl but still an impressive season.

Who on them do you find to be soft?

I agree with your assessment that this is one of the best jobs Manning has ever done. They need to mix Donald Brown in more as Addai has become more dancer than runner.

I would be nervous about the Colts in a game in January against either New England again or a dangerous physical team like Pittsburgh or their nemesis San Diego.

Its not that I find any individual on the team to be "soft", its just a general feeling that I have about them. Its pretty much the same feeling you have when you say you would be nervous about them going against a physical team. What teams have given them the most trouble? The dolphins, Baltimore...even Jacksonville.

They seem to me to be a team that could easily be 6-4. Bounces have gone their way and they have taken advantage. I just can't see them getting through the playoffs against the likes of cincy, pittsburgh or NE again.

I have serious doubts about both undefeated teams.

Not saying the Colts will win it all, but good teams seem to get those bounces that go their way. Home field advantage could play a big part, too.

You are right on both counts. And...to clarify...they are certainly a very good football team and can consistently beat most teams on most days. My doubts are more centered on the fact that I see serious holes that championship teams don't have. Namely, the inability to run the football consistently. Peyton is doing it with smoke and mirrors right now.

They are soft... They did not win the Patriot game, New England lost it, and Im not just talking about the going for it on 4th down. The Texans had them beat 2 weeks ago and they lost it. They do deserve all the credit in the world for being 10-1, but I dont think they are even top 2 in the AFC right now... I would take the Patriots and Bengals over them.

I just have this feeling the Bengals are going to start going backwards...

Hey, you get off of my cloud...

I saw this stat last night. Colts are first team to win four straight games after trailing in 4th quarter of each contest. When that stat turns (and it will), loss (or losses) will occur.

But what do I know, I'm a Cowboys fan who lives in Who Dat Nation (aka Louisiana)!

The Colts are my second favorite team (that's good for me cause the Skins are #1 and they are....well, terrible). Manning's performance speaks for itself, as long as they don't have to play outside in the playoffs in some place like New England, they should go to the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh is disappointing, NE struggles on defense, Cinncinnati is a nice story but were exposed a bit this week, San Diego could threaten if LT continues to play like...LT. Should come down to them vs the winner of the NFC title game (Minnesota/New Orleans). If Favre's health holds up...I'll go with the Vikings!

I thought we might be better without Harrison and people looked at me like I was nuts Yeah I am nuts, but a different nuts Tell ya what, with Sanders out on defense, injuries etc etc I'm jazzed up, big time.

I also know that what happens now matters as it sets you up for what I call the second season, the playoffs. Lets stay healthy, keep that pass rush humpin and let 18 and the gang do their thing.

How about the job the Colts organization does year in and out in the Draft!

And that is the difference between a guy like Polian or the guy in Pittsburgh (name is escaping me right now) and an idiot like Vinny Cerrato.
