Hipodromo, Chile
I never look at these PP's, but I see they are attached to the Gulfstream ones today.
Are these numbers correct? There are 15 horses in the first race and 5 of them race 43 times or more last year alone? Holy sh*t... |

I don't have the PPs so looked at the Hipodromo Chile's website, and randomly poked through entries for race 1 on Thursday.
Standouts: The Great Leader, a gelding (foaled Dec 1, 2001) ran 35 times last year! (raced 6 times in December after a 4 week layoff) 143-7-8-16 $ 33,467 In the same race Supremaza, an August 2001 mare has raced 140 times (30 last year) Another gelding 10/21/05, Power Love ran 50 of his 53 starts last year. The baby of the bunch is a Nov 2005 maiden mare with 7 starts, Dona Firuminga In the US, PETA would be burning down the track. I ended up looking up all of the entries. Most would be long retired in the US or in West Virginia. I need a life, badly. This is rare in the US: El Simon who finished 4th today in the 5th at GP raced 32 times last year as a 3 year old.
