That's what Saratoga is all about!
You can tear your hair out (if you have any left), bet the chalk...
Everybody gets "humbled".
It's just the way it is....

Now, let me tell you about this great idea I have....
"The Gambler's Hall of Fame".
I think it should be located in Saratoga Springs, not too far from the Casino.
It should be near the Racing Museum.
If you're interested, let me know. We might be able to build it ourselves with
our "winnings", salvaged materials, and my Home Depot charge card.
This idea can't lose!

I bet Deep Canyon WPS...and anyone that is not betting Ian Wilke's horses are plain nuts. His horses are incredibly fit and very well spotted. I mean after todays race, this is his record at the meet

7 runners
3 wins
3 places
1 show

for those that may be a little slow in the math dept., that is 100% In The Money

dang it! I WAS THIS FRIGGEN CLOSE TO USING THIS HORSE IN YOUR CONTEST KEV! I always pick a horse with Baron in the name. Had him as my pick for that race today. Went with Finlandia since my Grandmother was from Finland and I would LOVE to visit there. One of the places I want to visit before I die. No big handicapping these races for me today. But I am not doing bad. Out of eight races so far, I have two wins, two seconds and a third. NADAS on the rest!

After CROSSWORD scratched, the "Baron" became my 2nd chioce and why not. He had three starts over the Spa turf with a win and a second. Even though, his form was way off, he is a "horse for the course". The outside post was a bit of concern, but he put them to sleep on the front end. And at 44-1, it was a "gift from the racing gods". Had him across the board and in a exacta with TIVERTON. Also had him going in a $458 double with HOSTILE TAKEOVER, but unfortunately did not cash. If the favorite runs underneath him in the exacta and the "trip from hell" horse wins...MY MEET WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE!!!
