Yanks will run Detroit down for best record
Yeah its coming, Detroit is entering a brutal schedule period and the Yanks are just humming. Yankees will run Detroit down(back 4 games now) for best record in baseball and coast into the post season with a number one seed and homefield throughout.

It is baseball. Who the hell cares who has homefield. The only thing that matters is who is the hottest going into the playoffs. .

Yanks have the best hitting money can buy.Starting Pitching is always harder to buy.Their starting pitching is questionable. They match up well with like teams such as Boston.I don't think the Yanks will win 3 series in the playoffs.Halos(good starters) beat them last year, and the Fish(hot starters) in 2003.I thought sure that they would come back against the Fish, but I remember very well in the last game that Jeter could do nothing against that pitcher(Beckett..I think..not sure.)

The real question is now that they have exceeded $200M in payroll, can they get out of the first round. Probably not with that pitching. Yankees-Sox (the WS Sox, not that Sox with the worst pitching in baseball) in the first round. Game over Yankees. Maybe $250M next year will do it.
