Default 3/20: Gulfstream (1st-12th); Aqueduct (C/O); Magna 5

GULFSTREAM PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

1st: ALW/N1X, 4+, 6f (P3, DD, Super)

Excellent start to a terrific card of racing; One to fear in this deep group is #6 Majestic Blue (8-1) with KMc warming up and Forestry colt likely to get fast/dry track for first time since sharp career bow..

Best Value: #1 Bimini 5-1 3rd
Most Likely: #9 Precious Package 3-1 6th
Exotics Use: #6 Majestic Blue 8-1 WON ($14.60)
Super Add: #7 Broken Home 5-2 4th

2nd: ALW/N1X, 3yo, 1m-T (P3, DD, Super)

No real surprises here..

Most Likely: #3 Saint Eligius 5-2 WON ($3.80)
Best Value: #2 Buzzin Ready 15-1 7th
Next Best: #6 Manhattan Fox 6-1 2nd
Super Add: #4 Westshore 10-1 4th

3rd: MSW, 3yo, 6f (P3, DD, Super)

Quality soph sprint heat with a few notable pedigrees debuting. #1 Bail Out the Banks, from 1st out specialist Violette and yet another horribly named Klarman purchase, is a half brother of the very nice SW Zawzooth and several other slick one turn winning sibs; #7 Al Muhtasib is a $525k Shadwell buy from the dam that brought you Golden Spikes; Romans' Ghostzapper (0/29 with FTS) colt #10 Dapper Zapper is O/O Checkered Flag, the lovely A.P. Indy mare that produced Zanjero and Victory Plus; #8 Biloxi is a $350k Peachtree debuter from Dutrow that has been facing Swale fave D' Funnybone in the mornings according to Mike Welsch, and holding his own..

Most Likely: #4 Chasing Ted 7-2 8th
Best Value: #7 Al Muhtasib 6-1 5th
Next Best: #8 Biloxi 5-1 2nd
Super Add: #5 Scary Good 8-1 3rd

4th: OC/N2X, 4+, 1m (P3, DD, Super)

Savvy move by Gindl to get G1 winner away from previous conditioner. Appears back on track but faces tough, well-matched group here..

Best Value: #1 Break Water Edison 8-1 6th
Most Likely: #7 Alma d'Oro 6-1 7th
Next Best: #10 It's Never Too Late 3-1 3rd
Super Add: #4 Todd Got Even 5-1 9th

5th: MSW, 3yo, 1m (P3, DD, Super)

Another tremendous race with some more pedigrees on parade including Indy News, a half to Eddington, The Gift Is Mine, from the mare that produced Elaborate, and Five Fifty Five, a half brother to MGSW Lady of Venice..

Best Value: #12 Launceton 6-1 12th
Most Likely: #4 Our Dark Knight 4-1 WON ($8.80)
Next Best: #3 Pow Wow 7-2 4th
Super Add: #6 Grand Macho 10-1 3rd

6th: OC/N3X, F&M-4+, 1m-T (P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #4 Scolera 4-1 WON ($8.80)
Best Value: #6 Cherokee Queen 10-1 2nd
Next Best: #9 Romacaca 3-1 4th
Super Add: #3 Kristi With a K 5-1 7th

7th: 40th Bonnie Miss (G2), 3yo-F, 9f (P6, P3, DD, Super)

Fascinating 6 horse field with major league missies grappling for So. FL winter season honors moving towards Kentucky Oaks. Christine Daae reacted to big performance in seasonal debut last time, but still won easily versus lesser. Looms the one to beat in my mind as lone participant having negotiated this trip. Amen Hallelujah won Davona Dale as she pleased, but that effort registers as likely to produce regression here and there's no room for error against this set. Sadler sends Switch, a West Coast version of Christine Daae, and though she needs a significant forward move in dirt bow, there's no way I'm leaving her off any ticket. Finally, Joanie's Catch has been simply remarkable race after race, and there's no reason to believe she can't hit the board yet again as she adjusts to every task demanded of her..

Most Likely: #6 Christine Daae 2-1 5th
Next Best: #5 Amen Hallelujah 8-5 2nd
Best Value: #4 Joanie's Catch 10-1 3rd
Super Add: #2 Switch 4-1 4th

8th: 31st Rampart (G3), F&M-4+, 9f (P3, DD, Super)

Thankfully not part of the P4 with at least 5 possible to take this..

Most Likely: #8 Unrivaled Belle 2-1 WON ($5.80)
Best Value: #1 Bambera 8-1 8th
Next Best: #2 Don't Forget Gil 4-1 7th
Super Add: #5 Even Road 10-1 6th

9th: 59th Appleton (G3), 4+, 7.5f-T (P4, P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #7 Rahy's Attorney 3-1 2nd
Best Value: #8 Boots Ahead 6-1 5th
Next Best: #3 Kiss the Kid 5-2 3rd
Super Add: #1 Society's Chairman 5-1 WON ($14.20)

10th: 25th Swale (G2), 3yo, 7f (P3, DD, Super)

Dutrow-Pompa Hutch winner is the most likely winner, but capable Stan Gold rail runner won't have :45 flat half to deal with today.

Most Likely: #7 D' Funnybone 6-5 WON ($3.00)
Best Value: #1 Hear Ye Hear Ye 15-1 4th
Next Best: #8 Gary D 12-1 8th
Super Add: #2 Silver Craft 15-1 9th

11th: 59th Florida Derby (G1), 3yo, 9f (DD, Super)

Odd edition of normally important Derby Trail prep, clearly affected by silly placement on calendar. Curious bunch assembles and I'm reaching out for prices while being grudgingly respectful of Pletcher-WinStar favorite..

Best Value: #8 Ice Box (15-1): Lone winner at trip gets plus jock switch.. WON ($43.40)
Next Best: #6 First Dude (8-1): Forward going; Forwardly placed for 1st run.. 5th
Exotics Use: #7 Rule (5-2): Clear one to beat but has to respond to 9f.. 3rd
Super Add: #9 Miner's Reserve (6-1): Being rushed, but likely this talented.. 10th

12th: MSW, 3+, 1m-T (Super)

Most Likely: #6 The Great McGee 5-2 WON ($6.20)
Next Best: #5 E. H. Indy 4-1 5th
Best Value: #9 Exxel 6-1 8th
Super Add: #8 Santa 6-1 3rd

<$75 P4 Play:

9: 1-3-7-8
10: 1-7-8
11: 1-5-6-7-8-9
12: 5-6

4x3x6x2 = 144 x .50 = $72 $.50 Pick 4 Paid $441.60

AQUEDUCT ($28k CARRYOVER)

Next Best: #2 Heavenly Pursuit 5-2 2nd
Best Value: #1e Baker entry 8-1 3rd/8th
Exotics Use: #4 Royal Waltz 5-1 5th

Most Likely: #5 Norjac 8-5 2nd
Best Value: #3 Wadi Suki 8-1 3rd
Next Best: #1 Volos 3-1 WON ($6.70)
Super Add: #7 Cielo Song 30-1 8th

7th: NYB-MDN CLM, F&M-3+, 5.5f (P4, P3, DD, Super)

I don't know what to say about this unbelievably weak group..

Most Likely: #3 Properlyintroduced 3-1 3rd
Best Value: #8 Waylady 8-1 2nd
Next Best: #6 Green Arrows 2-1 4th
Exotics Use: #2 My Lucky Way 5-2 WON ($6.90)

8th: CLM, F&M-4+, 6f (P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #4 Bobby's Bell 5-2 8th
Next Best: #1 Gellhorn 3-1 4th
Best Value: #5 Weefc 15-1 WON ($32.80)
Super Add: #9 Hazaam's Back 5-1 2nd

9th: 18th Cicada (G3), 3yo-F, 6f (DD, Super)

Best Value: #7 Romantic Hideaway 6-1 2nd
Next Best: #2 Liam's Dream 4-1 WON ($13.60)
Super Add: #5 Fuzzy Britches 8-1 4th

Super Add: #5 Target Practice 8-1 7th

LEG B - SANTA ANITA 5th: MSW, 3yo, 6.5f (P6, P3, DD, Super)

I didn't bet him individually, but i used him to start a P3. I'm singled here with the 3, then I hit the all button with all the debuts and whatnot, looking for a number. Good Luck Steve.

Isn't 42-1 on Best Actor a little ridiculous? Now 36-1..

Bit of late money taking Game on Dude down a few pegs... 12-1 to 9-1.

Steve thank you very much for Ice Box I hit the win and the exacta...
You pointed out when we were in the paddock on FOY day how good he looked and when we saw Nick Zito he just gave us that look like he had something with Ice Box and he was right and then right after the race you pointed out what a bad trip he had....You are a ROCKSTAR just like I told You Thanks again... Good Luck with the closeout leg
