Default The Golden Slipper

Figured this needed its own thread instead of getting lumped in on the Class thread this time around...

Masquerader is out, Strawberries is in.

When is the barrier draw (as in what time)?

Thoughts on the rail being moved?

Is Military Rose unbeatable? How good is Brightexpectations? Solar Charged?

Weather update anyone?

Crystal Lily for me, but barrier 1 could make life tricky for the filly.

I'll be in Sydney on Saturday........ but I won't be at Rosehill. I must be mad

You're not going???

Madness.

You've got some jock on your girl haha!

I do like the favorite a lot but will play against both her and Solar Charged (I think!).

As of right now I'm stuck between Brightexpectations, More Strawberries and Hinchinbrook. Will probably play Bright and Berries on top.

Who do you like in the BMW?

I'm not seeing Theseo here...

I like Harris Tweed, Daffodil, and Divine Rebel (and am hoping No Wine No Song does well. That's as far as I've gotten).

More Joyous to beat Tracy in the Queen of the Turf...

Faint Perfume in the Vinery Stud.

Love the field in the George Ryder and will root for my boys El Segundo, Snipers Bullet and Mr. Baritone but I'm thinking Black Piranah wins this.

Brightexpectations slipper party
sportGeneral31 Mar 10 @ 01:34p

The Gai Waterhouse trained colt Brightexpectations is running in Saturday’s $3.5m, Group One, AAMI Golden Slipper (1200m) not just for the 15,000 plus members of the Punters Club, who co-own the racing of the colt, but also for a share in any first prize money to go to the Redkite, an organisation dedicated to assisting childhood cancer sufferers and their families.

A win by Brightexpectations will benefit children suffering from cancer with Racing NSW chief executive Peter V’landys announcing that a share of the first prize money of $2 million will be donated to Redkite.

“A minimum of $250,000 will be donated to Redkite, who help children with cancer, if Brightexpectations wins, and it will,” said a confident V’landys.
