Default Why isn't the Pacific Classic next on Zenyatta's schedule?

It is three weeks away, at Del Mar so Shirreffs won't have to be away from her, doesn't involve crossing the dreaded Rockies, and is at a distance that is supposed to be Zenyatta's best distance.

Give it up guy, she barely beat Rinterval at almost level weight.

Some horrendous Eastern slow-poke will win the Pacific Classic for the 4th straight year.

The problem with you is that you have yet to be mesmerized by her paddock prance.

i wish they would go there instead. the top 'cap horse out there now is awesome gem, surely he's not a scary competitor?

I suppose that she doesn't have to actually beat them since she has already beaten the world's best horses in last year's BC Classic. It is a given that she would win the Pacific Classic by a measured length, so why bother. The racing world demands that she race next in the Zenyatta Stakes.

oh, you're just a great big hater. how dare you detract from her and her legend by suggesting she take on males?! the obvious next step is the zenyatta. i mean, it's so cool, she's running in the stakes named for her. even secretariat and man o'war didn't manage that feat.

Z doesn't need a 10f race now

Hirsch was her 5th race on the season

Only needs one more start a few weeks before the Cup

Yeah, it stinks, but that's the way the game is played now.

Relatively fresh horses seem to perform better on Championship weekend.

Not to mention the fact that it's getting late in her 6-YEAR-OLD season.
