Default Hurricane Earl

Not looking too good for the folks on the Outer Banks. 145mph sustained winds.

Very dangerous storm... I hope it does'nt cause to much damage and that people in it's path get out now. Best of luck to anyone that stays to ride it out.

We live just 100 miles north of Cape Hatteras. Thank goodness we're not there. Plan to head home to VA from TOGA Sept. 10th. Hope we don't have to deal with any hurricanes along the way or damage done to our home once we get there. Already been through Bonnie 1998, Floyd 1999, and Isabel 2003 (the worst).

Without a doubt the worst one I have been through. I was living about 20 minutes west of you at that time. I was wondering if you and your husband were back home or not. Good to know you won't be in harms way. It's not looking to good.
