Great article by Steve. I had no idea that Drape and Fountaine made these comments about Seth Hancock. That's pretty disgraceful. I've always found Hancock to be a gentleman and it's not like he disrespected Zenyatta. In any case, why shouldn't he be thrilled about Blame? He stands Blame's sire and is now standing the colt himself............Must the whole industry part like the Red Sea and bow down in front of Zenyatta? She's just a horse, she's not a god(dess). |

If Cannon Shell made his debut as a turf writer tomorrow - he's easily top 10 in the country - maybe even top 5... and he uses spell check and is befuddled by apostrophe placement. |

![]() Ed Fountaine is the same guy who complained on closing weekend of the Saratoga meet about the 14 horse MSW won by Astrology that To Honor and Serve ran 2nd in. He felt that the race should have been split and keeping it one big field was a poor move by "the new NYRA."
Crist's piece is terrific. It's a shame he had to even dignify the remarks made by hacks like Fountaine and Drape. |

On Thoroughbred Champions, they clearly disagree with the article - very surprising how many jumped down his throat. I remember Fountaine's comment about the race - I don't see why that was a big deal to him. |

![]() I have a gay friend who posts there.
He's compared to Excellent Meeting to Alydar - he's posted about giving his pizza crust to a homeless guy - and he boxes about eight horses a race ... I would also venture to say he's one of the five or ten sharpest posters there. |

![]() While I completely disagress with Jon White's thoughts on Zenyatta at least he is qualified and respects the counter argument for Blame.. Joe Drape is insane!
