Flower Alley and Funny Cide

Boy he looks hurt. I mentioned last week that if he didnt run well in The Woodward then he will retire. I have no clue what Pletcher has done to this horse or how he cannot detect some sort of injury. Pletcher did mention that FA would not be at his best last time out. But he said that he would be ready to go today. Obviously he wasnt ready to go. Hope he does well at the shed.

Funny Cide sure did live up to his name today. He made me laugh during the race. But I couldnt figure out if I was laughing because I felt sorry for the horse or if I was laughing at how bad he actually is. Of course I could have been laughing at all those stupid New Yorkers who bet Funny Cide. At least he went off at higher than his M/L odds. Please oh please dont retire this horse. It is good comedy everytime I watch this horse race.

Funny Cide has been done for a few years (as far as being a top horse) and Flower Alley is going to have to be like Funny Cide if he wants to win (i.e. - shipping to Canada to win a graded stakes...) or he needs to retire...

There's nothing "funny" about what has been done with this poor horse ...

... he has been repeatedly humiliated by the egomaniacs of the Sack-O-Kaka syndicate ... who fell too much in love with the spotlight ... and who still don't realize that their fifteen minutes of fame have long passed.

I think no one has been more embarrassed by these boors than Barclay Tagg ... a real horseman who is surely aware of his horse's regressed ability.

A true trouper like Funny Cide is indeed to be pitied ... but thank goodness he isn't aware of what has been done to him ... or he would have kicked the kaka out of the entire sad sack.

I need to go to sleep...I'm starting to agree with BB. Yikes. And Euro, if Funny Cide is such a bad horse, you must have very high expectations...geez, if this horse was spotted properly he'd still do well. Nobody expected him to do well in this spot and I dont particularly think he is at all a bad horse...

We can't seem to wait to see how the horses come out of a race. Just scream and yell like you know all the answers. You posters are the ones humiliating yourself.

His stud value has gone down the drain. He would have been worth something after his 2nd in the BCC last fall. I did mention after the Whitney that he would never win again. Why do you think he looks hurt? My guess is the EPO has worn off and his trainer being under closer scrutiny can't get away with it another time.

So you laugh at Funny Cide but you immediately express that Flower Alley must be hurt. Must be. Listen to what your saying Euro. Your laughing at a horse that won 2 legs of the triple crown and we all know is only racing because he cant mate with girls and put the owner's kids through college.
Yet with the overrated Flower Alley, you sympathize with him for being hurt.

Looks like Flower Alley's bid for HOY comes to a screetching halt.

This thread takes the cake. It really sums up a lot of people and how they make excuses ony for horses they like. Flower Alley at 2/1, please.

It is possible both horses are hurt. In my opinion Flower Alley has been hurt all along. Funny Cide may have been hurt in the race. I know he had x-rays done last night, but I have not heard anything yet. The Tagg barn moves back today so maybe I will stop by tomorrow morning.
