He's probably already upset with me because I think Astrology is a bum; even when he beat THAS in his 2nd start, I didn't think he was that good. On the other hand, It's Tricky is by his son, so I think AP would understand.

I thought I read in the DRF that the race wasn't even going to be run due to lack of entries, so I was pleasantly surprised that it's on.

It's Tricky just destroyed the Busher field. The fractions were slow, but she had Portside in her sights and always looked like she could reel her in...........considering the slow fractions, it's not a bad final time at all.

Douglas.... Will Its Trickys race come back fast? If not fast, at the least faster then her first 2 starts? I get the feeling shes really good, but her 2 beyers so far dont really say that.

I don't think the fractions were slow. Not blistering but fair in all likelihood.

Not that she's up against much at this point, but I think It's Tricky is the best 3YO filly in the country.

It speaks to what a quality horse she is that she's been this good this soon considering her pedigree. Her dam, Catboat, started for a tag as a maiden four times before breaking it at Mountaineer. She rattled off four in a row from there and finished in a dead heat in the Arlington Oaks after finishing second in the Sweetest Chant at AP.

I think the 6 furlong fraction was 1:14, but to be fair, I don't know what the fractions of the other 2 turn races were

Betsy, the 6F fraction does not represent the pace.

Oops, you're right. Then I would say the fractions were not terribly slow - I think the half was run in 48 and change. The 2nd quarter was slow, I think - 25 and change? I have to watch the race again.
