The guy has run only this horse the past two years. 4 starts, all at Prairie.
The horse has finished in front of one horse. That horse was eased. It's more funny than sad or upsetting. "....Taking into account that incident and the fact the mare only had one three furlong work within the calendar year, stewards met with Nealon on the morning of the May 24 and asked for assurances that Boty’s Banana was “fit to perform creditably at the distance entered.” The ruling said Nealon provided “unconditional assurance that Boty’s Banana was fit to race at 1 mile and 70 yards.” What was he going to say? |

Side note to the story, Boty's Bannana will now be in the Juan Carlos Guerrero barn and will supposedly train up to the Ruffian at Saratoga.
