8/21 (EMD): Longacres Mile (G3), Emerald Distaff
This coming Sunday is the Northwest's most prestigious race. Jon White has been named the honorary steward. Defending champion Noosa Beach is being asked to give weight to numerous invaders. Should be a heck of a race.

I love this race which sounds dumb but I really do.
I'll never forget the first time I saw it... 2004, Adreamisborn (RIP)... just one of those races that I can always imagine for some stupid reason. Shocked to see Whatsthescripts name here, huge Awesome Gem fan BUT come on gotta root for Howard Belvoir (Wasserman , Assessment, No Flies on Doodle who isn't here but hey gotta mention that one some time so I guess this is it. ). Can't wait! |

Absolutely.
God he was a brave horse... It's nice to finally be able to remember him with affection and awe and have that heartsting lessened cause of the simple fact of time. I'll always miss him though and I know you and quite a few others will too. |

Noosa Beach may be the best under the radar miler in the country. Remember he beat Jersey Town last year who went on to win the Cigar Mile. If he defends his title in the Mile giving all that weight next stop is BC Mile.

How many times has he won the Mt. Rainier?
He's scary good at Emerald, isn't he? |

Winning Machine just got beat a 1/2 by NB in their last. May get lost on the board and be worth a bet at a huge price.

had every possible chance to win in a dream scenario and still couldnt win in his last race. Ill pass regardless of the odds, hopefully the Canadians will bring down something ill like. |

Oh and if you can please blow Wasserman a kiss (when no one is looking, of course). (.... or when everyone is looking if you're that type). Pretty nice field for the Oaks! Love UR All that I Am and Hard Way Ten... haven't seen pp's yet though so just sayin'... I have friends who live up there and who are going so if you see a couple of overly-excited, jumping up and down types who are squealing and likely hanging around Assessment go say hello. |
