![]() Hands down slam dunk the Public Handicapper of the year is Mr. Steve Byk.
On the toughest weekend of the year he goes 5/6 on a $400,000 P6 on Friday on a $96 caveman ticket. Saturday he goes 3/4 in the late P4 with the toughest nose beat. His P4 wouldn't have paid the payout of $187,000 but I bet it was at least $50,000. I don't have the Wizard or Davidowitz selections but the public handicappers at the Drf weren't even close. Jon White gave Drosselmyer as a possible longshot play but wasn't even in the same park as Steve with the rest of his selections. Just an outstanding job Steve and I hope you were rewarded at the wickets. |

![]() I know Marcus Hersh had Drosselmeyer on top...but otherwise, the bloodbath was widespread in the press box. Saw and congrat'd Steve on Saturday morning after looking back at his solid Friday picks...looks like it continued Sat!

![]() Quote:
A lot of public opinion makers had great ideas including as Pat points out, Marcus Hersch -- as well as Gary Young -- on Drosselmeyer; I saw Brian Di (hockey) nailed Wrote and more; Dougie Sal had many good looks; Nick Tamm, Nick Luck, Andy, Welschy all had key ideas. Everyone offering opinions is trying to do their best, and there aren't any more difficult days than these two.
