ESPN Board

Today marked a new low, Blockhead is starting to seriously worry me, his posts today are those of a paranoid schizophrenic...not diagnosing him on the net but stating the content of his posts is troubling. Then folks come on and make ugly remarks about his wife and otherwise make fun of him. I don't know who these cowards who hide behind a variety of new ID's are but make no mistake, they are cowards and they are potentially doing actual harm! There are folks from this board who routinely go over, seemingly just to engage him...I understand the appeal...I've done my share of baiting but there are significant warning signs here and it simply isn't funny anymore! Please stop this baiting before it gets out of hand...the guy will make accusations (and I call him on it every time he does) and is easy prey but give it up, I try and speak rationally to him with occasional success but lately...well, not so much! This is a great board, and ESPN still has worthwhile threads...lets avoid stirring the pot despite occasional provocation.

Somer I highly doubt its anyone from this board. I don't think anyone would waste their time over there anymore.

I'm not saying the troll-like posts are folks from here, but there are some people from this board who have taken on Block recently...not saying they are wrong given his accusations but.....

he really seems to want the place all to himself. rather bizarre.

I went back there about a week ago and let him have it, I'll leave him alone from now on, if you think something is wrong with him. I actually reported him to the ESPN Board Administration, because he was trying to get personal info about me, it was nothing, but I didn't like it, in hindsight, I wouldn't report him again. Let him have that place if he wants...

Ya know I may have felt sorry for block BUT I don't. He brings it on himself. I didn't like how he attacked Mera for no reason last week.

He is loving the attention don't think that he doesn't. I use to think he was just a guy that wanted attention, but I have realized that was wrong. He is borderline crazy. What he did to Mera was inexcusable and I will not forgive that.

Just let it go. Ignore is the best feature.

He voices an opinion that he feels as fact. When he gets called on it, he resorts to name-calling and childish behavior of telling everybody that they are "gay, 20-something, and the problem with America today." He obviously can't handle criticism and would never be chosen to be on a team debate.

He commands "respect your elders." I understand that, but you still have to earn it. Right now he has totally lost it. You can't even reason with him.

So I say just let him go and let the Trolls have at him.

the crap that went on there shortly before this board started was at a unbelievable level even for our old home. unfortunately it doesnt seem the amount of shiat will stop ascending 2 new heights

Somer that was home for a very long time and its how we all met here.
But the lack of an administrator to monitor the things being said and the saturation of trolls really was its downfall.
This is a great home and a permanent one.
Everyone has tried to be nice to Blockhead and if he were to come back here and just be cool I don't think anyone would chase him away.
Hes shown the ability in the past to do this and I suspect his feelings are hurt that he can't talk horses with anyone anymore except the trolls who frequent the other board.
Perhaps you could persuade him to come back here and just play nicely with others most of the time.

I'd like to see him do an about-face but I don't think that's a reasonable expectation at this time...maybe later if things cool down!

Quite frankly I find it hard to believe that anyone here is wasting time trying to incite Blockhead by recruiting folks and trolls, etc.
Its just not something that strikes me as a fun time.
I think almost everyone wants to talk horses over here, or politics and sports in those areas of this board.
Sounds as if the same trolls who devestated the ESPN board this past winter and spring are still in action.
Who cares?
This board is what it is so fast because of those guys whether they realize it or not, thats the irony. It was just a coiincincidence that Steve got this board up and running at about the same time it hit a fever pitch over at ESPN with the tolls and guys putting the lines up, etc.
Had those trolls not been so horrible, then most folks would probably post at both places.
As a result of the trolls hard work and dedication to their job, everyone was already fed up with them and dove to this board immediately upon its being up and running. I personally like this format much better and appreciate it being monitored so that trolls can't just come along and tear the place apart.
To sum it up, anyone who still posts over there knows what they are going to have to deal with, and I really don't think anyone cares about that place anymore.

I got curious and read the ESPN board last night after Somer posted this. I was appalled at what was being said over there (by Block and other members.) The best thing to do is to ignore things that you don't like. He is to the point of no return. His comments on Sharon were slanderous and disgusting and the only way to keep him from posting like that is to ignore him completely.

Well...I'm at the top of his list, and I don't regret bashing him because of his continued treatment and slander of Steve Byk. There used to be a saying "Don't let your mouth write a check that your butt can't cash" And his slander of Mera exposed him to the core of his heart! "nuf said!
