It's raining. The turf is barely a remote possibility considering the recent problems.

I did notice they got it back to too firm yesterday.

Thanks Andy. Is it raining hard enough where they might seal the track??

I thought the horses moved better over the grass yesterday too, which I was happy to see as I love turf racing. Sounds like today may be a day to just take notes and only make a couple small plays.

Kev I have a huge question. I'm trying to figure out how exactly anyone hit that pik-6 yesterday at Belmont. Even though Hushion only paid 3 bucks its extremely hard to see how it was hit, especially with no carryover and West Virginia losing. There have been a string of recent one winner, non carryover hits on the pik-6 and I don't like it.

Mike...whoever hit it had to have a ton invested in that ticket because they had to spread awfully wide in that cheap ass claiming race that Oh My Stars won going wire to wire. I would have had a very hard time not singling WV if I had played a pick 6. I thought the other 4 legs were very gettable only using 2-3 horses in each leg.

Its been happening a lot lately. I don't like it.
Its illogical to conclude that someone is just getting lucky with the kids birthdays this many times.
I don't have an explanation for it. But at the spa several times there was one ticket alive to the last with a non fave and it won. Its awfully weird to say the least.

Good luck on your interview tomorrow, babe. I know you've been bored out of your skull.

"Its only a bad card if you lose money"

-Mark Twain

Yes even Mark Twain was a degenrate gambler, so dont feel too bad about gambling on horses.

If you were handicapping Belmont with the notion that speed might be good in the slop I will tell you after watching race one that the fractions were very slow for that group. 49 for a half on a straightaway, yuch. They crawled home in 1:54 for a mile and eigth which is even slower than it sounds since thats a one turn mile and an eighth.
It appears to be a deep and heavy sloppy surface which is quite possibly the hardest surface in the world to handicap.
Good ****ing luck is all I have to say.

Bombs away in the 2nd. Landofopportunity scores at 42-1 for Hertler. His mother Pentelis was an incredibly game mare who also loved the mud. Thats about the only way you could have had this horse as his 3 races so far were certainly nothing to play him off of.
Glad I stayed out the early affairs, I'd be 0-2 had i played.
