Default Funny Cide will go in the Brooklyn

Like I said before somebody called me an idiot and told me I did not know what I was talking about, Funny Cide is going this weekend in the Brooklyn. Looks like he fits just fine here.

I asked again, and Funny Cide definitely likes the Belmont track more than the Saratoga track.

I still think Awesome Twist will finish itm. He showed a good close in the Woodward but he was too far back to catch that field.

I think you're confusing him with someone else. Awesome Twist ran in the Forego and has never been beyond 8.5f. He's a sprinter but they're taking advantage of the huge Belmont oval in this one turn 9f race...

I beg your pardon, it was the Forego.

As weak as this field is for an alleged G2 ...

... Funny Cide still doesn't have a prayer of winning it.

This gallant guy belongs either in state-bred or ungraded stakes at secondary tracks ... and has for at least the past two campaigns.

The cutback to 9f will be good for him. NOTICE MY MAN CORNELIO IS ON HIM.

He isn't cutting back in distance...the Woodward is also 9 furlongs. It also was NOT disputed here that he would run. Tagg has been saying for over a week he was probably running.

It isn't all about you.

He'd be better off without any jockey on him ...

... he knows his way around the track ... and the 120lb weight advantage might give him a shot.

I've seen classified allowance races as tough as this alleged Grade 2.

Its obvious it wasnt Tagg's choice to run this horse. There is just noway hes had anything to do with the placement of Funny Cide the last couple of races. I can see taking a shot once if the horse was going super. However, after getting your head jerked off, working the horse, why in gods name would you bring him back in this spot. Owners picked this one fellas.

BTW, cornhole is a jockey, hes not a trainer. Lots of jockeys tell trainers what to do with horses, unfortunately most jockeys can barely read.

How dare you question the all knowing Nostradamus and his unfailing knowledge of the inner workings of the Tagg barn!!! LOL!

dalakhani,

I dont think the race is tough at all. Im commenting more on the prep into the race, and his placement in the last. Oh, and Cornhole calling the shots, Cornhole isnt calling any shots, hes just on for the ride.

It is obvious it wasn't Tagg's choice? Really? Where else was he going to run him? Cornelio worked him the other morning and it was slow, but he said he left something in the tank for saturday.

The owners did not pick this one. They wanted to go to Hawthorne. Even their website says that.

Let me get this straight......

You think Tagg got his head jerked off in a grade one, breezed him after the race, and is running him in this spot because thats whats best for the horse? Okay

Cool I will take........

Wanderin Boy, just anoth hunch, like my one with Premium Tap, which like a nut I didn't bet on! Anyone have any advice for today's card at Belmont? I took last weekend off, to recharge my batteries, and watch some football. Any track bias that you all have noticed, or other trends to take into account with my selections today? Thanks in advance, and good luck to you all this weekend! Take care!:rolleyes

I just don't understand why you guys would question the predictive capabilities of a guy named Nostradamus.
