Saw that on the eve news....is he a rightie or leftie?...he is co-founder of The Carlyle Group...

How will Former President George W. Bush personally make millions (if not billions) from the War on Terror and Iraq? The old fashioned way. He'll inherit it.

Its nice they want to repair the concrete.....to bad they have not donated that money to all the homeless families that were not living beyond their means when the bread winners lost their jobs and people like the Ellen show are getting sponsors to donate money to people living in their cars.Their kids are amazing one little girl won a national science award all the while living in a homeless shelter with her family. To me those people donating money to a freaking piece of concrete that looks more like a big D*ick than anything should have their head examined......why not donate that money to really help someone.....having a memorial to a dead President does nothing for someone who doesnt have a home to sleep in. do you know how many tourist dollars are made from people going to d.c. to see things like that big D*ck as you put it? i can only imagine all the money spent by the hundreds of thousands of visitors to the mall and it's monuments and museums. no doubt all that helps the local economy, and a lot of people, plenty. i'm glad someone stepped up to provide private funds, so public funds can go to worthwhile programs like the ones you mentioned. and if that fellow is as philanthropically minded as he seems to be, i doubt the washington monument is the only thing he's giving toward.

Really? Uhm ok well there ya go, Glad that we got that cleared up. It makes no sense, its a national landmark and it would get fixed without the 7.5 million dollar donation. Maybe Im just stupid...ah no maybe I most likely am. Just would think 7.5 donated to homeless families would have been better spent.
Think about the whole D.C area and it makes you wonder what they do with any of the dollars they pull in considering most of the people right outside the area are on welfare and live in poverty and murder and gang violence are the number 1 statistic. Glad to see those millions in revenue at work.
