If DIO wins, we need to be in the winner circle photo.

I applaud Animal Kingdoms connections for bringing back the Derby winner to race at 4!

Default animal kingdom returns.....

Saturday at gulfstream. I love this guy but I hate him Saturday. First it was last weekends g1 at gulf. Then the stakes at tampa was a perfect fit, now its this. I hate multiple change of plans. Plus he's a dirt horse. I think his derby and preakness runs prove that much. Honestly I would have crushed that first time kenneally allowance winner over animal kingdom last weekend. Ill the winner of saturdays race for you guys before Friday evening.

Motion was on HRTV yesterday to talk about Animal Kingdom. Gulfstream wrote the race for Animal Kingdom when Motion said he was going to Tampa. He said this gave him options. If it were to rain saturday, he still has Tampa as a backup plan. 6 weeks is perfect timing for him. So he has been pointing to this race the whole time.

He then said that Animal Kingdom doesnt have to win to go to Dubai. But his training shows he is back at his top level.

The reason he is returning on grass is because its a more forgiving surface. And he has already shown he likes turf and synthetic.

Sheets,
Thanks for the info, but we aren't going to need it because RHT is going to give us the winner.

I read the article. Feels like trainer speak.... Is any horse a good bet off a long layoff with an injury? No way. Plus he will be 2-5 or less. I will be betting against him, I think he will lose. I want him to run well, I like this horse a lot. I just dont like him first time back on the turf. I actually hate the plans they have for him. Like I said I believe hes a dirt horse. So turf-Dubai bugs me.

As promised.....
I will use the 3,4,5 to beat Animal Kingdom in the pick 3 surronding that race. Beat him get paid big time. Its an odd situation for me because I hope he wins, but I think hes a great bet against.

You could very well be right but that race is sandwiched in between two maiden claimers with no clear singles. You can't go three deep in every leg. There are some good reasons to play against but he'll be a single on my card. Unlike a lot of successful dirt horse who try the grass, he does has nice turf pedigree.

Not too shabby. That horse is just a pleasure to watch. Raw athleticism. I wish I felt as good as Animal Kingdom seemed to feel today.

Animal Kingdom ran his final 1.5 furlongs in 28.39.
Going 22.71 then 5.68.

Pretty Impressive.

2.5 furlongs you mean? Makes it slightly more impressive.
