Default The Avengers

I simply never go to the movies, figure I can wait until they are released on DVD. Last time I went was to see Joss Whedon's Serenity (my all time favorite) but I had to see what the master could do with a $220 million dollar budget. I was not disappointed, indeed I was blown away. Perfect blend of strong individual characters, amazing dialogue and Whedon's trademark humor. This is a record-breaker over $200 million in opening US weekend and amazing numbers overseas...will easily break the billion dollar mark. If you enjoy action movies, whether you are a Marvel fan or not, this is a must see!

LOL! I was never into the Avengers but I did enjoy Downey as Iron Man. Blending these characters is a huge task and Joss succeeded...writer and director, this was his baby and it showed!

The Avengers has just topped a billion dollars in box office world wide...in two weeks! Disney has announced there will be a sequel, hopefully they are smart enough to keep Whedon as writer and director.

First movie I have been to in well over a year. I actually enjoyed it, even though I really wanted to see Blue Like Jazz.

Then who dragged you to see the Avengers?

For what it's worth, I saw that there's a sequal already in the works. Apparently they are going to work some new characters in. I'm guessing that they're a bit on the non-conventional side, but it should be interesting to see Jack Daniels and Tripe M (Mini-Marlboro-Man) in action.
