Default 6/28: Belmont (1st-10th); Hollywood (5th-8th)

Couldn't negotiate tough Belmont carryover Wednesday but did OK on the day via fortuitous $41.60 winner Thomas Hill in the lynchpin 7th. Erratic helmsman Abel Lezcano likely impeded Dominguez and Namron in the stretch on the 20-1 Karl Grusmark trainee, but the result went official without an inquiry or objection and the price triggered juicy multi returns including the $303 late quad and 2 $100+ P3's. The P6 brought back a nice $70k to 2 winners. Having $14.40 Coach Royal, $20.80 Hlao Roo and Thomas Hill on your ducat deserved every bit of $70k. Hope everybody did well. More excellent weekday action at BEL as well as HOL today!

BELMONT PARK

The former Zayat campaigner was in the news just days ago having been sold by Arkansas farm Trophy Club for stud duty in Argentina. Baby J (6-1) could be very live in this unveiling coming out of Michelle Nihei's excellent "FTS" barn and being a half to MSW Laureate Conductor (Bernstein) and fast Que Posse (Posse). Mott sends Mrs. Weber's Seasoned Warrior, a Majestic Warrior bay out of MGSW Saorise making her a half to MGSW Hide and Chic (Seeking the Gold) and MSW Autobahn Girl (A. P. Indy). Mott not famous for sending them out cranked, but this filly has a license to be OK right away and zipped 3f in :35.0 days ago on the BEL training track (2/54)..

How about the race the 33-1 Necessary Luxury just ran? T2D and the bug. Huh. I guess at 30-1+ she was playable. I glossed right over her.

No.. (but thanks..)

The 2yo filly win price was inflated. She wasn't 8-1 in the P4.

Note GPK's choice of 'light' over 'short'..

That was real nice, dug in very gamely and refused to let Rail Trip pass. Nice call, Steve.

I will enjoy that performance even more if the 1 or 2 wins the 7th . . . .
