Default Romney VP pick

In desperation to garner a headline that does not include the word "Bain", it is suspected that Romney may release the name of his VP pick this week.

Pick who you think it will be (not who you wish it was). Listed in order of "media scrutiny" (what the Village seems to think at this time)

Default Romney VP pick

Can't be too strong, or Romney will look even more like a milquetoast than he already looks. Probably Pawlenty, as he looks like a Romney clone.

Read the last concluding 20 pages or so of the McCain campaigns 2008 oppo research on Romney as a VP candidate, linked in the other thread. It's brutal in it's dismissal of Romney's character (lies, flip-flop), lack of any truly applicable experience, and zero foreign policy bonafides.

that just means he's electable.

You can change the name Romney to Obama and this quoted paragraph would exactly describe him in 2008. zero applicable experience zero foreign policy.. and a liar! (though people didnt believe that in 2008)

At least Romney's experience exceeds that of a "community organizer."

Thumbs up

I chose someone else..My pick would be:

Nimrata Nikki Randhawa Haley

In the 2010 South Carolina gubernatorial election, Haley was endorsed for the Republican nomination by former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and the Tea Party movement..(1 out of 3 ain't bad)
and the second Indian-American governor in the country. (might want to see her birth cert).
She's a nice looking woman + Indian..
Colbert had her on couple months ago and i thought she was an impressive presence..100 x better than Palin (yeah that's not sayin much).

Pawlenty has become major Romney surrogate. I think it's down to Portman or Pawlenty.

Chris Christie definitely out of Veepstakes. He's giving opening night GOP convention speech.

Pundits say: Portman or Pawlenty

Maybe Jindal

Ugh. A surprise might be better.
