Default Baffert/O'neill Drama

http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2012/...nd-oneill-bar/

So I'm just trying to figure out what the Baffert's (yes both of them) problem is here. It's not like they haven't been the recipient of horses via private purchase .

Maybe there is more than meets the eye here, and if someone with more info could fill us in it'd be most appreciated. Because from here, it looks like sour grapes.

Just from that story it simply looks like Jill being Jill. A social climber with severe narcissistic tendencies and entitlement shaking her two rattles when one of her possessions is taken away.

Not much more to it, I would imagine. It's well documented she's impossible to deal with...even before she met him.

That's pretty funny, Baffert had no problem with they swooped in and took War Emblem, who was for sale.

Don't sell your horse and then bitch about selling it.

War Emblem's prior owner was complaining by the time the Belmont rolled around. You would have thought he had to sell War Emblem to keep his grandchildren from starving. The person I felt sorry for in the whole mess was Springer.

what gets me is why Zabeel would sell horses. There is something missing to this whole fiasco and we are only getting bits, pieces, and soundbites.

To clarify I'm not saying the O'Neill camp is innocent or didn't deserve the hysterics...

I'd never support a guy that looks like he knows the lyrics to all Smash Mouth songs.

Sour grapes from who? His loud mouth wife?
Best barn in America, by far. I doubt he cares much about the 7yr old. Jaycito is more likely the Richards Kid.

How about a bet...you take Jaycito and I'll take Richard's Kid. It'll be head to head. My horse finishes better than yours and you don't post here until 2013. Yours finishes in front of mine and I won't post here until 2013.

And you can't post as Zaftig either. deal?

Its nice they put dullahan back where he belongs, it paid off for sure. But i disagree with what was just said by the owner....no way he is in the mix for top 3yo, he is a poly specialist.

Jill just showing the level of class she has always had, which is none. Its business, not personal, but she apparently can't understand that.

Greed. Virtually all the big stables are greedy. The funny thing is the idiots that run tracks not only buy into it but pass rules like limiting 2 yo sprints to 8 that help those with the monopoly further capitalize on their greed.

There are plenty of good trainers that would kill to get one top stakes horse let alone virtually every good older horse on the West Coast and a new crop of 100 well bred 2 yo's every year.

Im actually going to try to be serious here. Is it Bafferts fault that he has all the good horses? He has the horses based on past success, right?

Is it Bafferts fault? No it isnt his fault but obviously his wife feels HIS interests supercede the former owner of Richard's Kid. The thing that you and shockingly many owners dont seem to get is that these guys interests are considered ahead of the owners which is the cart pulling the horse and is what has allowed these 5 race schedules to come to pass.

Dont cry when someone does to you what you have done to so many others. It isn;t like Baffert planned the mating and raised Richards Kid from birth. His people bought the horse as a ready made horse from someone else.

I actually dont think this has anything to do with BOB, and more his wife being a spoiled big mouth who feels entitled. Yes shes hot, but thats not the point.

She was a TV news reporter used to reading things someone else wrote. Would guess she was just repeating what she heard. Stop defending Baffert, he of all people doesnt give a damn what we think and doesnt need you defending him. As a matter of fact he might appreciate if you no longer spoke of him TRO style.
