Default Public Transportation For The Belmont

anyone know what the options are for the Belmont similar to the park and ride onto lightrail and bus that the Preakness has? or basically what the best avenue of arriving is? would be coming from Pittsburgh via car

Pittsburgh via car? All depends on where you will be staying, assuming you're "overnighting" it.

If midtown, your best bet is the Long Island Rail Road from Penn Station.

Other options exist from elsewhere, but the LIRR is recommended.

Driving to Belmont is really no big deal......I have been to atleast 12 Belmonts over the years, and you can stay after the races for 30 minutes and it is a pretty easy exit to the Cross Island parkway...Especially if you plan on staying in Queens or Long Island....
If your staying in the City, well then the train is probably best.....

I wouldnt want to stay in Manhattan....especially if you have a car..
