SAT - Keeneland (R6-R10 PK5/PK4); Santa Anita (small PK6 play)
Former BC Turf Sprint Champion Regally Ready ($25.20) successfully stretched out to an impressive victory in a solid Alw race on Friday. The connections have to at least entertain the thought of trying the BC Turf Sprint in two weeks after that performance. Ramsey/Catalano runner Quality Kitten took the 2nd leg of the PK4 and paid $15.60. In the feature G3 Valley View, Canadian Invader Overheard ($12.40) mowed them down late under Eurico DaSilva. The nightcap produced one of those head scratching results, when One Wild Kitty ($52.60) held off even money favorite Glamour Galore to cap off a $.50 PK4 payoff of over $12k. Lots of opportunity again with a terrific Saturday card that includes a $65k Pick Five Carryover. I'll take a small stab at the $230k Pick Six Carryover at Santa Anita.
Keeneland POST SCRATCHES - POLY / UPGRADED TO GOOD PRIOR TO R8 R6 - Alw 60k N2X (Turf 5.5F) #9 Queen Negwar (6-1) - Better suited for Turf Sprints and gets some pace to run at. #4 Spring Formal (5-1) - Improved with every Turf Sprint start at Arlington this summer. #8 Gator Zone (3-1) - Should be even better in 2nd start off the bench and has never missed the board. 4TH #10 Crookedpathtoglory (8-1) - Took a step forward on 1st Turf start and should be coming with a late rally. 3RD R7 - MSW 56k (2yo f 7F) #3 Lelanda (6-1) - The extra furlong and lesson learned in debut should produce a strong effort for the expensive purchase. 3RD #7 Auriferous (15-1) - Nice to see Benzel back training and the long string of works caught my eye. #11 Lemon de Oro (5-1) - Has gained some experience and when Motion adds Lasix you better take notice (29% with a positive ROI) WON #7.00 #8 Party Now (10-1) - Beautifully bred filly makes debut at 7F for Shug. Must include in vertical plays. 2ND R8 - Alw 58k N1X (Turf 12F) #8 Global Express (2-1) - Should relish the extra distance and Attfield usually brings them with a purpose. WON $5.40 #2 Happy Fella (10-1) - Has had trouble at the start in last two. Should be in good position throughout with clean break. #4 One Golden Road (5-2) - Connections have had tremendous success at the meet and this runner should benefit with the stretch out. #3 River Lemon (6-1) - Consistent sort does enough for a minor slice. 2ND R9 - G2 Raven Run #9 Ciao Bella Luna (4-1) - Seems like Catalano has tighten the screws and will have west coast filly ready for a peak performance. 4TH #10 My Option (8-1) - The all weather surface is preferred and she's the main rival. 3RD #4 Silsita (7-2) - Has been freshened up and her biggest win came on an All Weather surface. #2 Sittin At the Bar (8-1) - We know she likes to win races, but both times versus graded company she's come up short. R10 - MSW 56k (Turf 8.5F) #14 March Reward (8-5) - Draws in and is a huge threat on the front end. 4TH #9 Mutasaawy (4-1) - Adds lasix after solid effort in most recent for hot barn. 2ND #8 Civility Pledge (10-1) - Returns from a layoff and will probably be ignored at the windows despite having a legitimate chance. 3RD #12 Napa Valley (Brz) (15-1) - McPeek firster could surprise in a wide open race. PK5 - 2 4 7 8 9 10 / 3 7 8 11 12 / 2 8 / 9 / 9 14 = $60 for $.50 PK4 - 1 3 7 8 11 12 / 2 4 8 / 9 / 8 9 12 14 = $36 for $.50 Santa Anita R4 PK6 - 4 / 1 3 5 / 3 4 / 8 / 3 / 6 7 = $24 Good Racing Luck

Gus, thanks and good luck as always!!
Please double check the finale, I believe Mutasaawy is the #9, not #4 as listed and in your verticals. |
